Pet wood, also known as fossilized wood or agatized wood, is a type of petrified wood where the organic materials have been replaced by minerals, often silica, over millions of years. This process turns the wood into a stone-like material with remarkable preservation of the original grain and texture. Pet wood typically exhibits a range of colors, from earthy browns and grays to vibrant reds and greens, depending on the minerals present during fossilization. It is commonly found in locations with significant volcanic activity, such as the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona, USA, and in various parts of Argentina, Indonesia, and Madagascar. Pet wood is often used in jewelry and decorative items, valued for its unique patterns and historical significance.
This tower is absolutely stunning with the colours, textures, portal and druzies. To go from an ashen blue to a green with the UV is incredible. Also to connect with Em on this piece was amazing and makes it have a deeper meaning.
I saw these roses at the Calgary Gem show and as soon as I got home, placed an order. They are beautiful and such a perfect size. Now I always have roses around to enjoy.

I was so happy to add this to my collection at the Calgary Gem Show from Em and her Mom, literally adding it as everything else was being wrapped up and calculated. The pattern on the sphere and vibrant colour caught my eye and I just couldn't leave without it.

I was so happy to pick this up from Em and her Mom at the Gem Show in Calgary. This was a perfect gift and received with surprise, laughter and joy. The flashes on the larvikite are gorgeous and quality is awesome.
This is my first scenery jasper piece and it has an unexpected vibrant energy to it and every twist and turn reveals new surprises and angles to see it in new ways. A wonderful addition and very unique.
